Emi Umeda

Emi Umeda is the Representative Director for RBL’s Tokyo office. Emi regularly consults with Japanese companies interested in entering the US market.

Born and raised in Nagoya, Japan, Emi obtained her B.A. from the University of San Francisco. Upon graduation, she was employed for eight years at a media production company based in New York. In 2008, Emi founded Production House NY, Inc. a marketing and public relations company focused on bringing Japanese culture and Japanese products into the US market. In 2010, Emi returned to Japan to work for Dentsu Inc., an international advertising and public relations company, where she continued her work in the advertising and public relations fields, focusing on the Japanese and Asian markets. In 2014, Emi ended her tenure at Dentsu Inc. to focus her attention full time on advising Japanese businesses and entrepreneurs on their US market entry. Emi draws from her extensive experience in international business to provide value added guidance to Japanese businesses looking to expand their global reach.
